Week 16 - 10/2s (Week 10 washed out)

Today was our final game of the season. We played North Ryde Spirits 16 and we won 11-4. Congratulations to the Comets 10/2s. They remained undefeated for the season.
The girls tended to play in their usual positions today as we knew that the Spirits would put up a good fight. The Comets seemed quite unsettled to start with. The Spirits have a really good GK who intercepted well when the ball was heading down to the Comets goal circle. We had a couple of injuries this week with Katherine accidentally being knocked over by the Spirits GK (tender but ok), Breanna was hurt in the eye and the referee fell over and hurt her ankle. It was a very strange game.

Thanks to Giulia (hope I got the spelling right this time) and Kris for their terrific coaching throughout the season.
