Grand Final Results

Yesterday was Grand Final day and we had 2 of our 6 teams playing. It was an exciting day with lots of girls and lots of nervous energy everywhere!
Our 14's had a tough game, missing out on a win by only a couple of goals. It was fantastic to see this team, who over the past few years has always JUST missed out on a finals berth, make it through to the Grand Final in such convincing style. Well done to Simon and the girls. We are all very proud of you. Just remember ... only 2 teams in your division ever make it to a Grand Final ... and you got their first!
On the flip side, our 13's breezed through to a convincing win. The most wonderful thing about this win is that many of the girls have not played netball before and so it was an incredibly exciting day for them ... and every Comet supporter on the sidelines. The game was a little unsettled at the beginning, as are most Grand Finals, but the end result went as planned. Congratulations to Michael and the girls. You have come a long way in a short space of time.
